Wide Group acquires Assimood

Pollen Street today announces that Wide Group has acquired Assimood Broker S.r.l. (“Assimood”), a Rome-based specialist insurance broker.

Assimood specialises in professional and general third-party liability cover for healthcare professionals, with a largely recurring, highly diversified non-motor book. The acquisition deepens Wide Group’s capability in this specialist, defensible segment while strengthening its presence in Rome and across Central Italy, with the founders remaining involved following completion in line with Wide’s intermediary-centric model of partnering with established producers.

Assimood is the 23rd acquisition Wide Group has completed since Pollen Street’s investment in August 2023 — a pace of execution that continues to extend its lead as Italy’s largest technology-enabled commercial broking consolidator. With a fully digital, AI-enabled platform and an active near-term pipeline, the group remains well placed to keep building scale in a fragmented market.
