Pivotal acquires LR Finance

Pollen Street Capital is pleased to announce that its portfolio company Pivotal, the UK’s leading mortgage and protection advice provider, has acquired LR Finance, a regional mortgage and protection brokerage, in a move that extends the Group’s footprint in the North West.

LR Finance, which was founded in 1996, is led by Managing Director Elanor Hill. The company has built a large, loyal client bank, and provides advice across mortgages, protection and buildings & contents insurance. LR Finance’s strong local reputation and track record of consistent growth make it a strong fit for Pivotal.

This announcement reflects continued momentum across the Group. Since Pollen Street Capital established Pivotal as a joint venture with LSL Property Services in April 2021, the business has completed 26 strategic acquisitions and 6 this year. Pivotal’s first mover advantage has enabled it to grow rapidly into the UK’s leading mortgage and protection advice provider with specialist advisor teams covering mainstream residential markets along with second charge, commercial, bridging, buy-to-let, landlord, protection and home insurance markets.
